Cube

Watching TV late last night I noticed that a movie was about to start. “Cube” was the title and not knowing
anything about it I decided to watch the first five minutes to give it a chance. The first scene in the movie is enough to draw anyone into watching it, well except the squeamish. A man enters a room, which has no windows, and the only way out seems to be through one of 4 small doors. He walks forward and suddenly halts. Cut to a close up of this person who is bleeding in a grid pattern, and then who proceeds to collapse in chunks of meat onto the floor. After watching this I thought well I’ll give it another five minutes to see if it carries on in this vain. It wasn’t the gore fest I was expecting, however it was one of the best movies I had seen in a long time. The basic plot is six people are trapped in a series of cubes, which each have 4 exits but the connecting rooms can be booby-trapped. So they set about to find out why they are there, how they got there and most importantly how to escape the cube.
